Oakwood Real Estate Partners Invests in Plano Midpoint

Oakwood Real Estate Partners (“OREP”) is pleased to announce its investment in 2700 W. Plano (the “Property”), a 22-acre site planned for a future industrial development. OREP has partnered with Foundry Commercial (“Foundry”) to develop the Property. The development marks OREP’s second office-demolition-to-industrial conversion project in Dallas with Foundry and its fourth investment with Foundry in 2024.

The development addresses the lack of supply of Class-A industrial space in Plano, where new industrial development has been scarce despite tenant demand. The 250,000 square foot 1983 vintage office building on site will be demolished and two Class-A industrial buildings will be built in its place, one totaling 226,900 square feet and the other 96,100 square feet, both featuring 32-foot clear heights. The site’s location on the President George Bush Turnpike offers excellent visibility and connectivity, making it an ideal location for future industrial tenants.

OREP, through its affiliates, is the manager of a series of investment funds seeking opportunistic and value-add real estate investments in the lower middle market. Along with its predecessor firm, OREP has invested over $4Bn of real estate in more than 150 individual properties. OREP seeks to primarily make $5 to $15 million investments in multifamily, retail, mixed-use, industrial, senior housing, land, and office properties.
